The first festival dedicated to Cluj drama is organized by Cluj-Napoca National Theatre and will take place in 27-29 November 2012 with the support of Cluj-Napoca City Hall and Local Council, in partnership with JAD Cultural Association.
The Festival of Cluj Drama will present five productions based on texts written by playwrights from Cluj and a round table, organized in partnership with the Writers’ Union in Romania - Cluj Section.
The festival aims to promote the playwriting in Cluj on a local, national and international scale and to culturally diversify the city in the perspective of Cluj-European Capital of Culture 2021.
The main objectives of the project are bringing the audience close to the playwriting in Cluj, promoting the playwrights in Cluj, promoting 100% Cluj theatre productions, diversifying Cluj-Napoca National Theatre’s list of events, promoting Cluj-Napoca National Theatre’s image and the local values.
