This year, the UNITER Awards Gala travels across 444 km to reach Cluj-Napoca. A city young at heart, but also a significant site of theatre history serves as the perfect location to display the Romanian contemporary theatre. 2019 is a significant year as well, as the Romanian theatre community celebrate a special historical and cultural moment - 100 years since the foundation of the National Theatre of Cluj-Napoca, 100 years since the opening of the most important theatre institution in Transylvania.
The Gala show takes place on 13 May, starting from 10 p.m., in the Great Hall of the National Theatre of Cluj-Napoca and is broadcast live on channels TVR1, Radio România Cultural, livestreaming on www.uniter.ro and www.tvr.ro, and is also retrieved on the facebook page of UNITER.
Until then, we are welcoming you to get to know the nominated artists! Starting from tomorrow, 26 April, the www.uniter.ro and the Facebook pages will keep you updated daily with new information, news, interviews, video testimonials, messages of support for the nominated artists, the public's vote.
Tomorrow, 26 April, we also launch the video promotion campaign of the UNITER Awards Gala, which brings forward all artists competing for the 11 awards categories of this edition.
11 prize-winners, 33 nominated artists and over 300 guests from Bucharest and from the country are due on 13 May at the National Theatre of Cluj-Napoca to celebrate the achievements of the Romanian Theatre.
