For the opening of A.P.Chekhov’s THE CHERRY ORCHARD scheduled for 27 April, all the spectators are invited to wear WHITE clothes. It is the director’s request as it has a strong connection with the production’s stage design and costumes. The invitation is extended to all guest, if, of course, they have the possibility.
THE CHERRY ORCHARD is directed by Roberto Bacci, dramaturge Stefano Geraci, set designer Adrian Damian, assistant directors Maria Rotar and Francesco Puleo.
The Italian director Roberto Bacci is the founder and artistic dirctor of Fondazione Pontedera Teatro from Italy. Throughout his career, he collaborated with important personalities from the theatre world, such as Jerzy Grotowski, Eugenio Barba, Peter Brook, Anatoli Vasiliev, Raul Ruiz, Sanjukta Panigrahi, Julian Beck and Judith Malina.
