The warmth of a hug, emotion, nostalgia, simplicity, passion, intimacy... these are some of the feelings that music and dance will make you experience during the performance TANGO PATIO.

This performance reunites ten musicians and dancers who display traditional tango and the new concept of "milongueros" tango, dance styles which can be found in colonial yards from Buenos Aires.

The instrumental tango realized by the Muller - Funes guitar duet will be accompanied by live music and lyrics read by Argentinian singer Silvia Funes. They will be joined on stage by two pairs of traditional tango dancers and by artists of the current stage of Tango Buenos Aires, Sgrablich Venosi and Alex Winter.

"Day after day we are swept by emoticons and all kinds of abbreviations. Emotions are re-codified in stylized images and/or concentrated in just a few letters. The main idea of the performance regards the message exchange through codified language, which may be bodily or verbal, a language of images (like Emojis) or/and of the abbreviations that more are more people are starting to use. Messages that often become hard to understand and seem absurd to those who are not initiated in these codes. (...) #EmojiPlay is a performance of choreographic theatre which combines in an apparently playful way the tri-dimensional language (so the more complex!) of #DanceActors with the visual and  (still!) strange bi-dimensional world of these new symbols and metaphors."

Gigi Căciuleanu

"Căciuleanu holds a mirror in front on young people and shows us how they speak: a codified language, with many abbreviations, both funny and odd, supported accordingly by a dynamic choreographic accompaniment. (...) #Emojiplay is a lively, funny, playful, light, fluid performance, that will be enjoyed especially by young people (who will find an equivalent of their virtual networks conversations). While those who don't know too well the consonants strings and and how they can be decoded will be amused with conversations between teenagers who have their eyes constantly glued to their phones."

An introduction by Ioan Pop-Curșeu (president of the ClujShorts International Film Festival jury).

Horror movies have always been an extreme cinema genre. Therefore, their absence would have been inconceivable within the framework of „Extreme Evenings". What other types of films could create a tension resembling the darkest moments of life, the strangest and most unwelcome nightmares? In a much more concentrate span of time, short horror films play with the viewer's nerves, with his fears, terrors and mental projections, and embody extreme images and perceptions. Oscillating between the poetic and the macabre, juggling irony with cynicism, they arouse the most ambiguous feelings and sensations and radicaly question the balance of normal existence, to the benefit of a brutal confrontation with the unknown.
