Cluj-Napoca National Theatre organizes a press conference on Monday 9 September at 1pm on the 2nd floor foyer of the theatre, on the occasion of the 2013/2014 season opening and the preview of The Aureliu Manea Trilogy by Aureliu Manea and A Hell of a Mess! by Eugène Ionesco.
The conference will be attended by Mihai Măniuţiu, the general manager of Cluj-Napoca National Theatre, Ștefana Pop-Curşeu, the Artistic Director of the theatre, Gábor Tompa, the director of The Aureliu Manea Trilogy by Aureliu Manea and Silviu Purcărete, the director A Hell of a Mess! by Eugène Ionesco.
The 2013/2014 season of Cluj-Napoca National Theatre opens with the avant-premiere of The Aureliu Manea Trilogy by Aureliu Manea, on Tuesday 10 September 2013 at 7pm, in the "Euphorion" Studio. The next performances (also avant-premieres) will be on Friday 13 September and Sunday 22 September 2013 at 7pm. The opening of the production will be on 5 October at 5pm during the International Meetings in Cluj.
The Aureliu Manea Trilogy, directed by Gábor Tompa, dramaturg András Visky, presents the only three plays ever written by the director Aureliu Manea, Penelope remains pensive, The theatre rehearsal, The eastern fairy, in a special setting, with a strong visual effect, designed by Carmencita Brojboiu. Face to face with fascinating characters, through the weirdness of their presence and, paradoxically, through the effectiveness of their experience, the audience is invited to viscerally emphatize with the inhabitants of this world, build by the visionary eye of theatre passionate, to whom "the theatre performances are celebrations of a free life".
Cluj-Napoca National Theatre opens the 2013/2014 season on 10 September 2013. This season will reunite important romanian and internatonal theatre creators such as the directors Silviu Purcărete, Gábor Tompa, Roberto Bacci, Eli Simon, Alexandru Dabija, Peter Uray, the dramaturg András Visky, the designers Dragoş Buhagiar, Carmencita Brojboiu, the composers Vasile Şirli, Ada Milea.
