Producer: Reactor de creație și experiment, Cluj-Napoca
The starting point of MISAnderstanding is the media scandal involving the Movement for Spiritual Integration into the Absolute (MISA) yoga school that happened a decade ago in Romania. The play talks about the effects of those events on the lives of a few of the yoga practitioners, especially that of a young woman who was hospitalized in a mental facility because of her connections with the infamous school.
The research for this story starts in 2004 when over 80 yoga practitioners were detianed for interrogation, fact that lead to a smear media campaign of people that weren't involved in Gregorian Bivolaru case. The show is part of „Democracy exercices. Investigation of the recent history" project, implemented by Reactor de creație și experiment.
The performance will be presented during the International Meetings in Cluj, at REACTOR, on October 9, 2018, at 3 pm.
