Cluj-Napoca National Theatre organizes a press conference on Friday, 2 October 2009, at 11:30am, on the second floor foyer, on the occasion of the opening of the 2009/2010 theatre season.
The conference will be hosted by Professor Ion Vartic, Ph.D - the general manager of the Theatre and Mihai Măniuţiu - the Artistic Manager.
Information of the following topics will be presented:
· the season opening event, respectively the premiere, on 3 October 2009, of WALPURGISNACHT by Venedikt Erofeev, directed by Mihai Măniuţiu;
· the two volumes edited by Cluj-Napoca National Theatre, in partnership with the Faculty of Theatre and Television: Walpurgisnacht by Venedikt Erofeev, translated to Romanian by Maşa Dinescu, and the bilingual volume (Romanian-English) Enigma Sarah Kane / Sarah Kane - An Enigma. Spectacole, reflecţii and comunicări în cadrul Zilelor Sarah Kane la Teatrul Naţional Cluj (4-7 decembrie 2008) / Performances, Reflections and Essays presented at the Sarah Kane Days organized by Cluj National Theatre (December 4-7, 2008) - based on the event organized by the Theatre last year;
· Cluj-Napoca National Theatre participation to national and international theatre festivals in October-November 2009;
· the release of the bilingual volume (Romanian-English) Enigma Sarah Kane / Sarah Kane - An Enigma. Spectacole, reflecţii and comunicări în cadrul Zilelor Sarah Kane la Teatrul Naţional Cluj (4-7 decembrie 2008) / Performances, Reflections and Essays presented at the Sarah Kane Days organized by Cluj National Theatre (December 4-7, 2008) at the National Theatre Festival;
· the launch of Cluj-Napoca National Theatre’s website;
· the projects for the 2009/2010 season.
